The laptop screens are very fragile and can be easily broke. In these paragraphs are presented some steps for replacing the screen on an HP business laptop. First think is to make sure that the laptop is turned off. After this you need to unplug it from the power cord, and take out the battery for safety precautions. The keyboard screws from the bottom of the laptop must be removed. Remove the keyboard from the laptop computer. You don't need to fully detach the ribbon connector from the system board. You should take careful note of how they are woven around in the laptop system board; you will need to reweave the wires to the new antenna in the same way. Remove the plastic hinges that are surrounding the actual metal hinges on the frame. You need to use something that is nonconductive to get the leverage with, and pop them out carefully without warping the plastic.

You need to use a T-8 to unscrew the screen from the laptop computer. The video cable must be disconnected from the laptop system board. It will be a rectangular tan plug and that is not very far from the screen due to its short, thick cable. You need to lift up the screen and then you can pull the wireless antenna up with it. To replace the screen you need to perform the following steps. The new screen must be placed into the laptop by lining up the two pegs into the hinge holes left in the laptop computer. The screen must be screwed back into it’s place. Make sure you can move the laptop screen back and forth before proceeding. You should carefully weave the wireless antenna back into position on the laptop system board, and then to reattach them back to the wireless networking adapter. The video adapter cable must be plugged back into the laptop system board. Pop the hinges from plastic over the metal hinges on the screen. You need to replace the keyboard back into the laptop. Reattach all of the laptop keyboard screws on the bottom of the laptop. Replace the laptop battery, and then power up the laptop.
